so i was just creeping around tumblr and finally realized like…what a cult Brand New fans are. everyone into the long island etc music scene and everything, it seems like we all think our music > everyone else’s and that no one could ever top Jesse Lacey in song writing or hotness or genius or whatever. and hahah I FUCKING LOVE IT because it’s all true. and i’m sure everyone thinks that their favorite band is better than someone else’s favorite band, because that wouldn’t even make sense if they didn’t, but i am so happy with the people i’ve met because of these bands (you know who you are) and the music i’ve been exposed to because of them. that was a run on sentence and i used the word “band” three times in very close proximity but I DON’T EVEN CARE i fucking love you all and i love brand new and taking back sunday and manchester orchestra and kevin devine and straylight run, and i love how i seem to somehow know everyone who likes them as much as i do because it’s so great to see other people feel the same way about this music as me.

i feel the same way! i love how if you talk to someone who is a brand new fan, you can pretty much assume they like manchester orchestra, kevin devine, and of course all the long island bands. these bands have come to be one of the biggest contributions to how i meet new people because we all seem to join together and we’re all so loyal to our music.
